LDI Student Award 

The LDI is committed to creating and supporting a global community of landform design practitioners, helping their teams design and build truly sustainable mining landscapes. As part of our mission to make landform design routine worldwide by 2030, we are excited to offer the Landform Design Institute Student Award. The yearly prize of $500 CDN will be awarded to one outstanding student member of the LDI. 

We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic student members who are pursuing a full-time post-secondary accredited college or university program in a related field. 

Eligibility 

To be eligible for the LDI Student Award, applicants must:

  • Be a student member of the Landform Design Institute (see below) 
  • Be enrolled in a full-time, post-secondary accredited program related to Landform Design or one of its disciplines. 

Application Requirements 

To apply, submit the following materials:

  1. Completed application form (PDF)
  2. A 400-word response to the award question
    • What is your perspective of Landform Design and how would your membership with LDI contribute to your future professional career development?
  3. Proof of post-secondary enrolment
  4. Résumé (maximum 2 pages), which should include:
    • A summary of your educational background
    • Professional experience
    • Awards and recognitions
    • Extra-curricular activities related to landform design or sustainability
