JOIN US<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Landform Design Institute is accepting new members to help us fulfill our ambitious mandate: making landform design routine worldwide by 2030. Both individual and student memberships are now available<\/a>, each receiving the same benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Membership in the Landform Design Institute will be of interest to students and professionals with an interest in or active professional participation in sustainable mining and mine reclamation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We hope our members will help us address the \u201cgaps\u201d that are hindering the industry\u2019s ability to establish sustainable mining landscapes and responsible closure and reclamation. Several task forces are being created to address the gaps, which are being placed into 10 broad categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 30, 2021, the Institute released a position paper<\/a> that details the gaps as well as the LDI mandate and strategic plan. It describes the LDI work plan, which falls under three focus areas: How-to resources, Education and training, and Supporting the global landform design community. More details on the benefits of each level of membership are available here<\/a>. We have also produced a brochure on corporate membership<\/a>.
